Week 9 discussion

After watching “coming to you, Minu”, I realized that music can play a significant role in people’s lives. In the video, Minu was an illegal immigrant from Nepal, and he was expelled from South Korea, even if he had already regarded himself as a Korean. He then started making music and spread his courage to other Nepal workers. The music is a great way of spreading information.

In the article that talks about the Chinese immigrants and local Jamaicans, music also plays an important role between people from two countries, because of the music, the intense relationship between Chinese immigrants and Jamaicans got much better. The music helped a Chinese immigrants to get involved into the local culture.
